This 1-hour training provides an overview of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders (ADRD) in accordance with the Florida Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA). 

The course introduces the basic characteristics of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, common symptoms, stages of the disease, and appropriate person-centered care approaches. Emphasis is placed on effective communication, behavior management, safety considerations, and the role of staff in supporting individuals with ADRD in adult day care settings.

This training is designed to meet Florida statutory requirements and does not constitute clinical diagnosis or medical treatment.
